The Hypnosis
Diet
If you've ever dieted in the
past, you know the hardest thing to manage is your own
willpower. Most people start of good enough but somewhere
along the way they lose steam. The hypnosis diet says that
most diet and exercise plans will fail given enough time. The
way to stick to them is to control your will to do
it.
According to recognized
hypnotherapies, the mind can be programmed to stop eating
those foods that cause us to gain weight and start eating what
is good for us. Through suggestions that are specific to the
individual's situation, anyone can be hypnotized into losing
weight. Does it sound too good to be true?
When I think of hypnosis I
imagine a swinging watch and low lighting just before I fall
asleep. Psychiatric professionals have used hypnosis to help
their patients find answers to their problems and weight loss
is no exception to the growing list of problems.
There are no set rules for
the program. It is up to the patient to learn the information
needed to promote weight loss. Most people that try hypnosis
diets have tried several others with no success so they know a
thing or two about the dieting process. The hypnosis diet can
be performed through self-hypnosis where you provide the
affirmations or through pre-recorded affirmations designed to
cause anyone to shed pounds.
A dieter writes down
information about themselves and their weight loss goals.
Included are the reasons why they have failed, what they want
to accomplish, and why they don't feel good about themselves.
All of this is used to create a list of positive affirmations
for the hypnosis diet.
The Hypnosis diet is
advertised online. Potential customers are asked to make a
list like the one described above. They then send this
information to a hypnotherapist along with payment of course,
and the therapist burns a CD using the affirmations sent in by
the participant. This is the self-hypnosis branch of the
hypnosis diet.
There are also hypnosis diet
programs that offer an audio program for weight loss. The
hypnotherapist has developed a program that is general in
scope so that it can be used by anyone. When the patient
receives the CDs they are instructed to listen to them a
certain number of times. Hearing the information in a
repetitive manner starts a transformation process in the
brain.
Eventually, the participants
start to mimic the affirmations they hear. They no longer
crave the foods that made them fat. They want to control their
portions. They even want to exercise each day.
Before you send money over
the wire, talk to a local psychiatrist about the basis of
hypnosis for weight loss. If any hypnosis is to be done, an
office setting is probably more comforting than CDs that you
can easily skip listening
